The Women's Caucus for Art is a national organization
for all women actively engaged in the visual arts.
WCA is dedicated to the cultural, aesthetic and economic
valuing of art made by women and people of color. The WCA is
committed to non-racism and non-sexism in art education,
art exhibitions, art history and criticism.

The objectives of the WCA are threefold:

1. Win parity in the valuation of works by women.

2. Create new opportunities for women to document, produce and exhibit works.

3. Assemble for the exchange of ideas, experience and information.

"I seems to me that one myth woman artists have difficulty exposing and confronting is the myth of the individual artist working alone the studio' as something that works for us. While men can do this art out of the studio and into the world, women artists continue to suffer isolation, under-representation, and marginalization. Our destiny as artists is linked to the of our gender, so joining together as women is the only way we can survive or advance."
