"It seems to me that one myth woman artists have difficulty exposing and confronting is the myth of the individual artist working alone the studio' as something that works for us. While men can do this art out of the studio and into the world, women artists continue to suffer isolation, under-representation, and marginalization. Our destiny as artists is linked to the of our gender, so joining together as women is the only way we can survive or advance." Judy Chicago - Santa Fe, NM |
